Love the possibility of this! Forgive my naivety but I didn’t know the VP could have such a broad role in the Senate. Let’s pray Vance chooses this path!

Great point, EK! The Vice President’s role as President of the Senate, outlined in Article I, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution, indeed allows for more influence than we often see today. Historically, many VPs have chosen a more hands-off role, but John Adams set a precedent by actively presiding over Senate debates and influencing procedural decisions. Should Vance choose this assertive approach, he could provide critical support for advancing the administration’s agenda and standing up to any internal opposition.

Potential Challenges:

While the VP's constitutional role as President of the Senate is well-established, the Senate’s modern procedures and norms could potentially pose challenges if Vance were to take a more active role. Some senators might argue that this approach oversteps customary boundaries, especially if it involves day-to-day Senate operations or debate management. However, as long as the VP’s actions align with constitutional provisions, they would stand on strong legal ground.

We the People must not allow the MAGA agenda to be subverted in the Senate.

Make the Majority Leader vote public so the People can see exactly who is trying to sell out. Sunlight and public pressure are powerful!
